Museum Shots

Another place we visited in Edinburgh was the National Museum of Scotland. I have to say what a fascinating place.  You could easily spend a couple of days in there!!
Not only were there many amazing sights to see the building itself was beautiful.  I could have spent all day taking pictures of it.
Here are a few of them.

This is the outside - the museum had a facelift about a year ago and this is a new section to the building.

This is the inside - isn't it amazing. I think it is quite victorian looking.

Lots and lots and lots of stairs.

We spent a few hours here before we had to get the train home and there was still an awful lot still to see.
That's something else we will have to go back and see another time.

Sounds like you had a great time in Edinburgh! It is an amazing city!
Looks like a beautiful museum. They did a great job of giving it a modern feel but keeping some victorian aspects as well.

What a good picture you took of the staircase, Ellie. That can't have been easy.
I thought I liked the modern outside, but then saw the spectacular inside. Do you think it was always white?

Dearest Ellie,
Wow, the National Museum of Scotland is so huge that I don't think that the same scale of is here in Japan. Thank you for the photos indicating how huge the place is☆☆☆

Hoping you are starting to have lovely new week, my friend.

Love you always, xoxo Miyako*

I hope you have more shots to show us of this amazing building. It really is unique. I tend to like architectural shots. And would love to see more of the inside, though you really got some good shots.
It's a great museum - Gail and me took two visits just to look at the contents of the basement. Definately more than a day's worth in there, even for the swiftest of museum viewers.
